Event Registration: The Fine Print
If you are interested in attending, or have
already paid for a spot at one of our events,
you may like to know about our cancellation
policy.
First, please note that cancellations are accepted via email only. Please contact us to initiate a cancellation.
If you cancel more than three weeks before the event, (by 5pm Eastern time 16 business days before) we will refund all but $50.00 of the amount you paid for each registration. (i.e., $50.00 per person is not refundable). Example: for an event on 10/24/09, this means you must cancel by 5pm Eastern time on 10/2/09.
If you cancel within three weeks or less, but more than one week before the event, we will refund half (50%) of the amount you paid for each registration. Example: for an event on 10/24/09 you cancel after 5pm Eastern time on 10/2/09 and before 5pm Eastern time on 10/16/09.
If it is one week or less until the event, or you simply don't show up for the event we will not refund any part of the cost you paid. Example: for an event on 10/24/09, this means after 5pm Eastern time on 10/16/09.
You may also choose to send someone else in your place. There will be no extra charge for this. We simply need you to let us know as soon as you can, because we won't give your seat to just any stranger who shows up saying that you sent them. We need to have prior notification of it. A substitution will be accepted up until 5pm Eastern time the day before the event.
What we consider business days: 10am - 5pm, Eastern time, Monday thru Friday (Except holidays).
Finally, if you have made travel and/or accommodation arrangements to attend our event, please review that institution's specific cancellation policy. Criterion Ventures is not responsible for any additional fees incurred.
